Why Assess?
For learners who are failing to achieve their potential, a diagnositc assessment can be illuminating.
Early intervention is crucial for children with specific learning difficulties (“SpLDs”). A diagnostic assessment will provide a comprehensive understanding of their cognitive profile including their strengths and weaknesses which may be impacting their reading, writing, spelling and numeracy skills as well as their self esteem.
The assessment can help your child understand how they learn best. This isn’t an exam so there is no “pass” or “fail” - the intention is to help you and your child understand their individual style of learning and what does/doesn’t work for them.
